"Be the change you wish to see in your world." -- Mahatma Gandhi
What if you could change your world?
Problems with individuals soon become problems between and among individuals. Before long, these problems become communal, and they become ingrained in the very fabric of our institutions. They grow into societal problems and begin to shape and distort our very culture; they become cultural problems. We see them everyday:
Well, guess what... We can.
- At school, the fear of a bully spreads...
- At the office, morale among associates fall...
- In the streets violence, poverty and homelessness persist...
- In our communities, interpersonal and sexual violence continue...
- In our neighborhoods, racism is often hard to see and even harder to talk about...
- In the home, families struggle with dysfunction and brokenness...
- In legislation, civil rights clash with religious rights...
Well, guess what... We can.
"Tremble: Your whole life is a rehearsal for the moment you are in now."

Stop & Go Interactive
Inspired by the work of Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed, Stop & Go Interactive engages communities in personal stories of unresolved conflicts and invites them to join our Creative Team in creating live dramatizations of these problems as an educational tool to facilitate an interactive Forum for progressive dialogue. This “Forum Theatre” becomes a vehicle for deeper discussion and collective problem-solving. In the Forum, the spectators are empowered to become “spect-actors”— no longer merely passive observers, but active participants in the play, allowing them to fully embody knowledge through direct experience. Stop & Go Interactive provides a safe space for communities to explore alternative solutions to serious issues, and to do so vicariously through drama!

A message from the director:
Dear Friend,
Stop & Go Interactive is a community-based theatre that promotes civic dialogue, collective problem-solving, and citizenship through applied drama. While there are many tools available for cooperative problem-solving, we choose theatre because theatre is holistic--engaging diverse communities of participants in a communal experience that is at once physical, intellectual and emotional. Stop & Go Interactive provides a dynamic approach to difficult dialogues that is transformative and progressive.
In theatre, new worlds are created by the dramatists. Unlike the world we live in, we have total control over the world of the play--it's rules, its duration, and especially its outcome. We live vicariously through the dramas, and then we go home changed by the experience. At Stop & Go Interactive, we re-create the world we live in, and we exercise the power to change it--no longer passive spectators of the action, but now active participants!
Stop & Go Interactive provides a theatre experience that is fun, entertaining, enlightening, and ultimately transformative. Call us today for a free consultation, and find out how Stop & Go Interactive can enrich your community!
Carpe Diem!
